Stampin' UP! Color Combinations

Stampin' UP! Two Step Color Combinations

Two step stamping always makes your stamps come alive. Sometimes choosing just the right color combination for your project can be daunting. While the Color Coach was a great tool to use, it has been retired. What to do? You may just need to rely on some old fashioned stamping charts. Slipping these into a plastic sleeve and putting them in a binder makes for a handy reference.

I started my chart with our Whisper White Cardstock. This is a must with Stampin' UP! inks. Stampin' UP! did their homework and made sure that their cardstock showcases their inks and images in the best way possible. The cardstock is a quality weight with a super smooth finish created to keep your stamped images from bleeding and fading out. You just can't beat our Whisper White and Very Vanilla 80 lb cardstock when it comes to putting ink to paper. I know many stampers who refuse to use anything else when it comes to stamping. Add in our perfectly coordinated, matching colored cardstocks and now color matching is too easy!

If you have a two step stamp set you may want to make your own chart like the one below so that you know just how it will turn out. It totally helps with your color selection planning. Be sure to notate the colors you layer...trust me...your memory is never "that" good. :)

Color Chart:

I am not so sure how well the colors will actually show up. One of my favorite combinations is actually the So Saffron and Blushing Bride combo. I don't think the image really does it justice.

So, what are some of your favorite color combo's?
