Fixing an Ink Pad that is Too Juicy!
An ink pad that is too juicy may result in ink bleeding. If you have an intricate image this becomes more noticeable. Such was the case when I tried to use my new Blushing Bride stamp pad with the Bloom for You stamp I showed how to mount yesterday.
Juicy pads can happen for two reasons:
- It is a new unopened ink pad
- You have over inked a pad yourself with a reinker
Notice how the white lines of around the edges of the inside of the petals are lost after stamping with a very juicy ink pad.
A simple way to fix this "juicy" problem is by laying a paper towel over the top of your ink and soaking up some of the excess ink. Start lightly first and try restamping your image. If it still bleeds, soak up some more.
You should easily be able to tell when you have de-juiced enough.
And remember, you can always add more ink with one of our Ink Pad Refills if you aren't juicy enough!
