Word Art Wednesday #203
Lovely verse and a lovely card. I used my go-to favorite color. Pink. Blushing Bride to be exact.
Here is the verse this week:
I was having trouble with inspiration for my English Garden Designer Series Paper. So, I pretty much cased a card I found on Pinterest made by Paula Dobson. While I used her version for inspiration I ended up putting a few changes on mine. Two similar versions of the same card because after printing the verse, I was required to use different framelits so I wouldn't waste them.
This week's card for WAW brought three product based revelations for me. First let's take a close up look.
My three newest Stampin' UP! Product loves are:
- Basic Black Archival Stampin' Pad
- Whisper White Thick Cardstock
- Garden in Bloom Photopolymer stamp Set
Basic Black Archival:I almost didn't order the newest Black Stamp Pad. I mean really, I have retired black pads, Memento Tuxedo Black , Stazon Black...why another one? Could it possible beat my Memento Pad? I have been stunned at how nicely the new Archival Basic Black stamps. Crisp clear and waterproof! Give it a try..I don't think you will be disappointed. I still need my Memento for Alcohol Markers but I will be using the new Basic Black from Stampin' Up as my regular.
Whisper White Thick Cardstock: I was excited to see this addition in the newest Idea Book and Catalog. What a difference it makes in the feel of quality for your handmade cards. It brings a high quality feel to any project. It will be hard to not make this the card base of every creation.
Finally, here is my Deco Label version. Dan and I determined this one to have a more pleasing layout. Do you agree?
Oh, Marette, I love both of these cards, but I'm with you and Dan and like the second one better. It seems the verse is showcased more beautifully with the flowers. I just got this set and love how you've used it. And I love the colors you've used to and will definitely pin this after typing the comment. This is a precious Scripture verse and one that I may have to use for a friend who has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. Hugs!
