Mojo Monday 434 Friend Card
Hi Stampers,
I finally made a new Mojo card. It is interesting to me that what I end up with, is usually different than what I have in my head starting out. That isn't a bad thing...just somewhat surprising. For instance Garden Green is not something I reach for right off the bat, nor is stamping a heart in that color but...that is just where the process took me.
Here is this week's sketch. I struggled a bit with that top circle. I like the idea of it getting cut off the card... but not sure I chose the right paper. I am still working with pairing pattern papers. I wish I had taken a design class while in college.
Here is my take on the Sketch :
I ended up using the opposite side of the pattern papers once I had them cut. I kinda wish I had tried stamping the heart on Crumb Cake paper instead of white as well. That would have changed the second circle to the beige hearts I wanted to originally use. Didn't think of that till now....
One more detail:
I used one of the It's My Party Enamel Dots and then added a Rhinestone on top. Not sure how well this will make it through the mail but it is pretty in person.
My new crafting resolution of using the pretty accents (designer paper, enamel dots, etc) instead of collecting them seems to be working out.
Hope you enjoyed the card! All the products I used are listed down below. Click on one to go directly to my online store.
I think it's beautiful & I like the 2 patterns together.
